Fuentes CAM provides information about drinking water fountains sourced from OpenStreetMap volunteers. The data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Always verify that water is safe to drink before consuming it, especially at springs and rural fountains.

When in doubt, do not drink the water.

1. Purpose

Fuentes CAM is provided strictly for informational purposes. It helps cyclists, hikers, and pedestrians locate potential drinking water sources in the Community of Madrid. It is not an official water quality service and makes no guarantee about the safety or availability of any listed fountain.

2. Data accuracy

Fountain data is sourced from OpenStreetMap, a collaborative mapping project maintained by volunteers. This means:

Fountains may have been removed, broken, or relocated since the data was last updated
Some fountains marked as drinking water may not be potable
Springs and natural water sources may carry contamination not visible to the naked eye
Seasonal fountains may be dry outside their operating period
The dataset is updated periodically but is not real-time

3. No guarantee of water safety

The app does not test, certify, or monitor water quality. The presence of a fountain in the app does not imply that its water is safe to drink. Always:

Check for official signage indicating potability
Treat natural spring water if in doubt
Carry your own water supply as a backup

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer disclaims all liability for any damages, losses, injuries, or illness arising from:

Use or misuse of the application
Consumption of water at any location shown in the app
Any inaccuracy, omission, or error in the fountain data
Unavailability of any fountain shown in the app

If liability is found, the maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed €50 or the amount paid for the app (whichever is greater).
