⚠️ READ THIS BEFORE USING THE APPLICATION

iBreathalyser provides a rough mathematical estimate of Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). It is not a medical device, not a forensic instrument, not certified, not calibrated, and not a substitute for an actual breath or blood test. The figures it produces must not be used to decide whether you are fit to drive, ride a vehicle, operate machinery, work, or perform any activity where alcohol may impair you or endanger others.

If you have consumed any alcohol, the only safe assumption is that you are impaired. Do not drive.

1. Purpose

iBreathalyser is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. It applies the Widmark formula to values you enter and returns an estimate of BAC. It is not a medical device under EU Regulation 2017/745, not approved by any health or law-enforcement authority, and not intended for diagnosis or treatment of any condition.

2. The estimate is not accurate

Real BAC depends on variables the app cannot model, including:

• The actual ABV and serving size of each drink
• Whether drinks were consumed on an empty or full stomach
• Your individual metabolism (can differ ±30% from population averages)
• Liver function and any medication taken
• Genetic factors (e.g. ALDH2 variant)
• Body composition, hydration, sleep, and fatigue

The estimate may be significantly lower or higher than your true BAC. An estimate labelled “Low” can correspond to a true BAC labelled “High”.

• This is not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for questions about alcohol consumption or health effects.
• This is not legal advice. Legal BAC limits vary by country, region, vehicle class, and driver experience. The app does not know or apply any specific legal limit.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer disclaims all liability for any damages, losses, injuries, death, fines, or other harm arising from:

• Use or misuse of the application
• Any decision made based on any estimate, including the decision to drive
• Any inaccuracy or error in any estimate

If liability is found, the maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed €50 or the amount paid for the app (whichever is greater).

5. Assumption of risk

By using the app you expressly assume all risks associated with alcohol consumption and any activity undertaken after consuming alcohol, whether or not influenced by the app.

6. Prohibited uses

The app must not be used to:

• Decide whether to drive or operate any vehicle or machinery
• Encourage or compete with others on alcohol consumption
• Substitute for any clinical, forensic, or law-enforcement test
• Defend any position in any legal proceeding
